WHY THIS CONFERENCE

Latin America’s pension privatization system is expected to grow considerably over the next five to ten years. As Latin American pension systems shift from fixed short-term income to the capital markets industry this is a great opportunity for institutions. As investment banks, commercial banks, insurance companies and pension fund companies tackle the challenge of pension privatization in Latin America, they must become fully aware of the major challenges in store for them. As Latin American countries prepare for outsourcing, institutions must be fully prepared to provide efficient systems and services. Institutions will have to examine the importance to pension privatization within Latin America, evaluate the structure of pension systems, examine ongoing changes in regulations and taxation, how pension privatization affect domestic savings rates. This conference will bring together leaders from Latin America pension systems along with leaders from the U.S. to discuss key issues related to pension privatization and its future trends and development within Latin American pension privatization systems. Private pension funds are helping Latin America’s savings, local capital markets and millions of future retirees.
