EMTA --- Emerging Markets Traders Association (EMTA) is the principal trade group for the Emerging Markets trading and investment community and is dedicated to promoting the orderly development of fair, efficient and transparent trading markets for Emerging Markets instruments and to helping integrate the Emerging Markets into the global capital markets. Above all, EMTA provides a forum that enables EM market participants to identify issues of importance to the trading and investment community and, when necessary, to review alternatives and develop consensus approaches to addressing industry problems and opportunities.
EMPEA --- Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) is a critical source of financing for companies in emerging market economies, making possible positive development outcomes while simultaneously providing investors with the opportunity to achieve superior financial returns.
NYU - Stern EMA --- Emerging Markets Association, New York University Stern School of Business, has more than 1200 members and is composed of a large cross section of international and domestic students interested in and/or with experience in emerging markets. EMA's mission is to promote careers with an Emerging Markets focus; to foster the exchange of information and ideas about doing business in developing countries; to create forums for discussion about emerging economies; and to provide contact with emerging market professionals and academics.
University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith EMA --- The Robert H. Smith’s Emerging Market Association is comprised of both domestic and international students with interest in or experience with Emerging Markets. In addition to our primary focus on geographic Emerging Markets, the EMA also seeks to improve student understanding of and exposure to emerging industries that span multiple geographic areas.
Society for the Study of Emerging Markets --- Founded to promote research and publication about emerging market economies and to provide a way for academics, policy makers, and members of the business community to exchange views and share information and research about emerging markets. The Society sponsors the journal Emerging Markets Finance and Trade (EMFT), which is recognized worldwide for the quality and timeliness of the research on emerging markets that it publishes.
PRMIA --- The Professional Risk Managers' International Association is a member-led and member-driven non-profit professional association. The mission is to provide a free and open forum for the promotion of sound risk management standards and practices globally.
GARP --- The Global Association of Risk Professionals is a not-for-profit organization and the only globally recognized membership association for risk managers. GARP's goal is to help create a culture of risk awareness within organizations, from entry to board level.
