With debt markets having discounted for several weeks a 50 bps rate hike by the FOMC, Tuesday's tightening announcement had little impact on emerging markets debt prices.

The week ahead will be a testing one for all markets as we first take in the FOMC actions and then try and interpret them. The current wisdom is that the Fed has little option but to raise rates by 50bps although a small minority continue to see a move of only 25bps.

The sell-off in most Latin credits stalled Thursday, with the exception of Argentina. Argentina's Brady and global bonds were hammered again, as heavy investor selling continues to weigh on prices.
